About Us
We are fast-growing IT company developing a popular VPN product used by millions of people worldwide. Our mission is to protect user privacy, ensure internet freedom, and provide secure access to information, regardless of geography or censorship.
We are looking for an experienced developer who is ready to tackle real technical challenges as part of a product team working on high-traffic websites with millions of monthly visitors. Our main website is large and complex, with support for 20+ languages, a modern tech stack, and a clean structure built on custom Gutenberg blocks. The site includes many custom blocks, templates, components, and unique pages that continue to grow and improve.
About the Project
- We re a product company, not an agency. Our main site has millions of unique monthly visitors;
- We run 4+ live products across multiple domains, with 20+ languages (WPML);
- Everything is built using custom Gutenberg blocks and modern architecture;
- Stack: Bun workspaces, React.js, SCSS, native JS, MySQL, ACF only for global settings;
- You ll work on refactoring, bug fixes, new pages, new features, redesigns, and support.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain custom WordPress solutions - build and extend themes, functions, hooks, shortcodes, and custom fields;
Implement responsive front-end interfaces based on Figma designs using HTML5, SCSS;
Optimize website performance for high PageSpeed scores through efficient code, asset optimization, and caching;
Collaborate with the team using Git - manage branches, pull requests, and code reviews;
Communicate effectively with designers and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with WordPress development (themes, functions, hooks, shortcodes, custom fields);
- Confident with PHP, HTML5, SCSS, ES6+, jQuery, Ajax, MySQL, React.js as a library;
- Experience or solid interest in custom Gutenberg block development;
- Understanding of PageSpeed optimization;
- Familiarity with Git, Yarn/NPM/Bun, Webpack/Vite;
- Experience working with Figma for development;
- Attention to detail, Good communication skills and ability to clarify requirements if needed;
- Comfortable working with HubStaff time-tracker.
